The Borrow A Boyfriend Club Book Review

📚By Page Powars

📚Blurb

A feel-good, coming-of-age rom-com from debut author Page Powars that follows a trans teen who joins a boyfriend borrowing service masquerading as an Italian Club to prove that he’s one of the guys, especially to its frustratingly handsome leader.

Noah Byrd is the perfect boy. At least, that’s what he needs to convince his new classmates of to prove his gender. His plan? Join the school’s illustrious (and secret) Borrow a Boyfriend Club, whose members rent themselves out for dates. Once he’s accepted among the bros, the “slip-ups” end.

But Noah’s interview is a flop. Desperate, he strikes a deal with the club’s prickly but attractive president, Asher. Noah will help them win an annual talent show—and in return, he’ll get a second shot to demonstrate his boyfriend skills in a series of tests that include romancing Asher himself.

If Noah can’t bring home the win, his best chance to prove that he’s man enough is gone. Yet even if he succeeds, he still loses . . . because the most important rule of the Borrow a Boyfriend Club is simple: no real boyfriends (or girlfriends) allowed.

And as long as the club remains standing as high as Asher’s man bun, Noah and Asher can never explore their growing feelings for one another. (Goodreads)

📚My Thoughts

OMG this book were do I start. If you love Red White and Royal Blue, One Last stop and Love Simon  you will love this  book.
This Book follows Noha who is trans who had started at a new school to find his identity and to be himself. To do this he tries to find a club that is very boy orientated. He then stumbles across Football.and Lamboghni club disguised as The Borrow A Boyfriend Club run by the stand offish and a bit of a douchebag Asher Price. Noha then must impress Asher in a seris of interviews one of wich to Romance Asher to become a Member and with the clubs.money running out to win a dance completion.
I loved the Romance between  Asher and Noha I love Enemy to Lovers books and this one was brilliant I wanted Noha to do well and I think got emotional in certain parts. I am not Trans myself but I felt by reading this book I found something new from.the community like how hard it is to get even your  name Said in full by your over ones. This book is very accepting and I forgot that Noha was Trans while reading it. I loves the whole finding yourself and the message this book will send to young Trans people that it’s OK to be yourself and that nothing is wrong with you.
I loved the charctures there was even a charcture who was diabetic I am diabetic myself so I felt seen so thankyou I am hoping one day we will get a MC with diabeties. Just having a support charcture with diabeties pressing a button on a pump made me feel seen. Charcture development was amazing and the ending left me Satsyfied I would love to see a sequel as I want  more Adventures of Asher and Noha. The cover is amazing I love purple.
Thankyou Netgally the Publisher and the Aiuthor for  letting me read and review this book. I hope it gets the hype it deserves its up there now with. My all time face LGBTQ+ Romances all though this book is so much more then just a Romance book.

📚Blurb

Never stop…Never forget…Just remember.

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us joins forces with the New York Times bestselling author of The Wives. Together, they have created a gripping, twisty, romantic mystery unlike any other.

Charlie Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk. They’ve been in love since the age of fourteen. But as of this morning…they are complete strangers. Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love…every memory has vanished. Now Charlie and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why.

But the more they learn about the couple they used to be…the more they question why they were ever together to begin with. Forgetting is terrifying, but remembering may be worse. (Taken From Goodreads)

📚My Review

What can I say about this book Firstly this is my second Colleen Hoover Book and secondly I am not a big fan of joint Authors I find sometimes it can be a bit disjointed reading experiences. I enjoyed this book I really liked the concept people loosing there memories and having to figure out who they are sounds brilliant on paper in reality this book was not it I enjoyed the first half it felt like Quantem leap vibes the writing was brilliant the middle and the ending was the most flattest things ever and I must admit it was a chore to get through the charctures irritated the hell out if me I was reading it thinking tell someone any one just tell somone. Most of the characters came across as self intitled and the ending didn’t really explain much about what Charlie and Silas went through.

By The end I was very dissapointed as this book has so much hype thanks Tick Toc. I did enjoy the concept it just left me feeling meh I will deffo check out Tarryn Fishers work. Will I read another Colleen Hoover we will see. This book just for the concept alone is 3.5 stars.

It Ends With Us Review

📚It Ends With Us

📚By Colleen Hoover

📚Published By Simon and Schuster

📚Blurb

Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.

Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up — she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.

Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.

As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan — her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened. ( From GoodReads)

📚My Rating 4.5 🌟

📚My Thoughts

Trigger Warning this book contains adult themes including domestic abuse.

I listned to this book on Scribd I enjoyed this book I loves the charctures apart from Ryall and Lilys Dad. Lily starts the book out as independent confident woman she has a best friend Atlas who is Homeless but cares for her FYI I Ship Lily and Atlas. Untill she meets Ryall and her world changes and not for the better. Lily leads a traumatic life her dad Abuses her mum and Lily witnessed a incident between her parents and thought out the book says she would never end up in the same situation. She meets Ryall and he is the typical red flag guy who doesn’t want to be in a relationship has issues bit yet still pursues Lily. Lily ends up with Ryall and marries him and Ryall get Jelous and his behaviour is Lily stays with him beleveing that she can change him if they have honest conversations and he lets her know about her anger in time. The book is written from the Authors own experiences bit with loads of clichés its not the best book I jave read that deals with Abuse but I respect the Author for covering this Topic. I hated Ryall from the begnning he is not my cup of tea. I loved Atlas bless Atlas standing by Llily even though I thought he deserved better then Lily in parts of the book I was like dude just leave already.

I was emotionally Abused so I understood why Lily was staying with Ryall if you llve somone so much the its difficult to Leave so I respected Ryall when he choose to leave and Lily made rhe right decsion at the end of the book.

I listned to this book and at times it was a hard listen espcally between Lilys parents there is a graphic scene in this book and it may trigger some. The Narrator was brilliant I loved her vioce very soothing.

there are a lot of clichés in this book but it is a Colleen Hoover and clichés are expected. Like I said I respect her for writing a book like this espcally as she has lived it herself .

I gave this book 4.5 stars 🌟 would I recomend it yes ad the subject is important but like I said there are enter books on the subject that have been done better. If you do read this book don’t go into it thinking its fluffy and romantic its not its a tough listen.

How To Kill Your Family Review

Title: How To Kill Your Family

By: Bella Mackie

Published By : Harper Collins

Published : 14/04/2022

Number of Pages: 368

The Blurb:

I have killed several people (some brutally, others calmly) and yet I currently languish in jail for a murder I did not commit.

When I think about what I actually did, I feel somewhat sad that nobody will ever know about the complex operation that I undertook. Getting away with it is highly preferable, of course, but perhaps when I’m long gone, someone will open an old safe and find this confession. The public would reel. After all, almost nobody else in the world can possibly understand how someone, by the tender age of 28, can have calmly killed six members of her family. And then happily got on with the rest of her life, never to regret a thing.

When Grace Bernard discovers her absentee millionaire father has rejected her dying mother’s pleas for help, she vows revenge, and sets about to kill every member of his family. Readers have a front row seat as Grace picks off the family one by one – and the result is as and gruesome as it is entertaining in this wickedly dark romp about class, family, love… and murder.

But then Grace is imprisoned for a murder she didn’t commit. (Taken from Goodreads)

My Rating: 4.5 Stars

My Thoughts

What can I say about this book. First of all I listened to this book on Scribed and I really enjoyed listening to it the Narrators Charly Clive and Paul Panting made the reading experience so much fun to listen to so I really do recommend you pick up the Audio book version . The book follows Grace who is already in prison and she recounts the experiences of basically killing her dads side of the family as she has been rejected and her dad didnt want to know about her thing is her family are all really unlikable. The storys of each family member Grace bumps off is really dark and funny if you get easily offended then this book is not for you. The book is dark and i loved the dark humour all the way I found myself laughing out loud. I found this a quick read/listen there is some really good twists one of which you find out really early on and i was like wait what. yes I mentioned two narratrors but you will have to wait untill you read or listen to the book for that twist. I felt the chractures were really well devloped and Bella Mackie deffantly didnt make me feel anything for Graces Family at all.

I enjoyed the scenes when Grace was in prison I loved her cell mate Kelly she is very funny and a little annoying but she was a very enjoyable side chracture.

This book is a very funny good Dark humor revenge book its a thoroughly good read for what its worth I recommend listening to the book just because Charley Clive as great and very funny as Grace.

I gave this book 4.5 stars

Review:

I want to say thankyou to the Author for a free signed physical book and bookmarks very lovely and Lola’s book tours in a exchange for a honest Review.

I loved this book it’s very eery and intresting concept I love witches and spooky things. The chracture of Bea is well written I did find she can be a little ungrateful at times. She is Vaunrable teen who has a hard life. The themes in this book are well written as well. I would reread this book in October as it would be perfect to cozy up to in the autumn months. I loved the concept that Bea wrote it as a diary and rewrote it as a book form the pictures as well are great loved that. Great read 4.5 stars from me 🙂
